DALLAS (Diya TV) — The Dallas Mavericks had their backs against the wall and showed life as they defeated the Golden State Warriors 119-109 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, bringing the series back to San Francisco for Game 5. The first quarter saw the Warriors keep it close as they only trailed by 4. However, big second and third quarters from the Dallas offense helped separate themselves until the Warriors reserves brought the game back from a nearly 30 point margin to single digits.

Just like the past two performances, Mavericks star Luka Doncic put forth a stellar performance to keep his team in the game, putting up a double-double and nearly a triple-double. The scoring from his supporting cast also helped guide the Mavericks to a victory. A solid distribution of scoring among the starters (Dorian Finney-Smith, Reggie Bullock, Jalen Brunson) as well as a good performance off the bench from Maxi Kleber erased the Warriors’ hopes of a four game sweep.

On the other side, the Warriors are looking to bounce back in Game 5. The starters did not have a night to remember. However, the reserves came through in the fourth quarter as they were the driving force behind the Warriors cutting down a huge deficit. 2021 7th overall pick Jonathan Kuminga showed promise as he has all regular season after filling in for Otto Porter Jr. nicely. The Warriors will hope that the momentum from the late game reserve run can help them as they return to their crowd in Chase Center in two days’ time.

Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals will tip-off at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET on May 26th. The game will be broadcast on TNT as with every game in this series. The Mavs have a tall task ahead of them as they will look to comeback from a 3-0 deficit, a feat yet to be accomplished in by any NBA team in the playoffs. The Warriors will have their eyes set on ending the series and advancing to their 6th NBA Finals in 8 years.
