LOS ANGELES (Diya TV) — Los Angeles County’s Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer during a Board of Supervisors meeting said “with all certainty” stay-at-home orders will remain in place for the next three months, adding restrictions will be relaxed under a five step plan. LA County is now the epicenter in California of the coronavirus, with more than 1,300 deaths to date.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy paid homage to Indian American physicians Satyender and Priya Khanna — a father and daughter duo who both died after contracting COVID-19 while treating patients.

The World Health Organization’s Chief Scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan commended India for keeping the coronavirus cases and deaths low compared to other countries, saying they will play an important role in the development of a vaccine for COVID-19.
