JAIPUR, India (Diya TV) — Rajasthan will welcome its global diaspora at the Pravasi Rajasthani Divas 2025, a major event set for Dec. 10 in Jaipur. The state government aims to strengthen ties with Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs), boost global partnerships, and highlight the cultural and economic impact of its overseas community.
The flagship event will bring together key national and state leaders. Rajasthan Governor Haribhau K. Bagade, Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will attend the gathering. Sharma will deliver the keynote address, outlining the state’s plan to build deeper global collaboration and accelerate investment-led growth.
The day will open with the inauguration of Pragati Path. This curated walk-through will highlight Rajasthan’s development journey, reforms, and long-term roadmap. It will present the state’s recent progress and its plans to expand opportunities in priority sectors such as renewable energy, tourism, water, mining, and healthcare.
Industries and Commerce Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore will deliver the welcome address. He will underscore the role of NRRs in driving the state’s growth and improving its global outreach. Rathore is expected to stress how the diaspora contributes to innovation, investment, and new international partnerships.
A key highlight of the event will be the announcement and groundbreaking of projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore (US$11.1 billion). With these new additions, Rajasthan will reach a total of Rs 8 lakh crore (US$88.7 billion) in grounded projects since the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024. Officials say this marks a strong boost in investor confidence across India and abroad.
The state government will also release a new coffee-table book titled “Commitment in Action.” The publication will document successful MoUs and major projects implemented since last year’s investment summit. The book aims to offer transparency and showcase Rajasthan’s rapid progress in turning investment promises into on-ground results.
Many top corporate leaders will attend the inaugural session. They will share insights on Rajasthan’s reforms, business-friendly policies, and growing industrial appeal. Speakers are expected to highlight the state’s rise as a hub for solar power, tourism, manufacturing, and logistics.
The government will also present the prestigious Pravasi Rajasthani Samman awards. These honors will celebrate outstanding contributors from around the world who have made significant achievements in business, culture, science, public service, and community development.
In the afternoon, the event will host an Open House with Non-Resident Rajasthanis. The platform will enable direct interaction between diaspora members, policymakers, and industry leaders. Officials say this format will help address concerns, identify new opportunities, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
Seven sector-focused discussions will also take place. These sessions will explore emerging opportunities in renewable energy, tourism, health, education, water management, mining, and industry. Experts and entrepreneurs will share ideas on innovation, technology adoption, and sustainable growth.
The day will end with a vibrant cultural showcase. Performers will present Ghoomar, Kalbelia, and a fusion performance that reflects Rajasthan’s rich traditions. The cultural evening aims to offer visiting NRRs a warm and nostalgic experience of their heritage.
Pravasi Rajasthani Divas 2025 will serve as a bridge between Rajasthan and its global community. The event will highlight the state’s rapid economic progress, rising investment climate, and commitment to inclusive development. With strong participation expected from across the world, Rajasthan hopes to deepen its global ties, attract fresh investments, and celebrate the achievements of its diaspora on an international stage.
