ATLANTA (Diya TV) — An Indian-American police officer in Georgia died after being shot during a domestic dispute call. Authorities say 38 year old Paramhans Desai was shot as he tried to arrest the suspect who got away. Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal lives nearby and has offered a $5000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the shooter.
Another Indian American Mayor is about to take office. This time in Edison New Jersey. Democrat Sam Joshi will not only be the first Indian American Mayor in that township when he’s sworn in, he will also be the youngest at 32 years old.
Major League Baseball has named Farhan Zaidi the 2021 executive of the year. He led the San Francisco Giants to the best record in baseball with 107 wins. He’s the first Pakistani American to win the award.
