NEW YORK (Diya TV) — A site called “Dogequest” has come into existence, allegedly posting personal details of Tesla owners throughout the United States in what appears to be an attempt to shame and intimidate them based on CEO Elon Musk’s political leanings. The site includes an interactive map showing names, addresses, and phone numbers of Tesla owners, with a Molotov cocktail icon as its cursor.

The owners of Dogequest have also listed addresses of Tesla dealerships and said they will delete people’s information only if given evidence of car sale. This comes after a string of vandalism attacks on Tesla cars and buildings, in tandem with Musk’s high-profile position as leader of the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

A Loveland, Colorado, woman was arrested last month for vandalizing a Tesla dealership with an incendiary device. Two Oregon Tesla dealerships were also recently shot at, although no one was hurt. Owners of the newly introduced Cybertruck have also experienced harassment in the form of obscene gestures and verbal abuse.

The origin of the information on Dogequest is still unclear, and its validity has not been completely confirmed. Nevertheless, investigative news source 404 Media confirmed that a few of the listed individuals are actually Tesla owners or have openly endorsed Tesla and Musk. The website also reportedly contains personal information purportedly belonging to DOGE staff, although the accuracy of this information has not been confirmed.

Doxing, or the public disclosure of an individual’s private information without permission, is a serious issue. Although posting publicly available information is not necessarily illegal, doxing can be against the law regarding harassment, stalking, threats, or invasion of privacy and can result in criminal prosecution or civil litigation.

As a response to all these developments, the White House has denounced the attacks on Tesla assets as “domestic terror” and threatened harsh actions for those responsible. Tesla’s stock price dropped by 6% during morning trade on Tuesday after the news of Dogequest and related vandalism incidents.
