SAN RAMON, Calif. (Diya TV) — Diya TV and the Tri-Valley Weekly are hosting a candidate forum featuring candidates from Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon and Danville ahead of the November 3rd municipal elections.
Every candidate running for mayor or a council seat in the four communities have been invited. Organizers also invited other local media organizations to participate in moderating the forums.
Residents will help shape the discussion by submitting questions for the candidates.
In San Ramon, organizers said mayoral candidate Paschalis Ntatsos and City Council candidates Chirag Kathrani, who is running in District 2, and Jeffrey Joh, who is running in District 4, have confirmed their participation.
Danville Town Council candidate Pratima Sonavne has also confirmed, according to organizers.
Dublin’s confirmed participants include mayoral candidate Kiran Mohammed; District 2 candidates Daniel Hor, Richard Thornbury and Steve Lorey; and District 4 candidates Shivraj Singh and Kashef Qaadri.
In Pleasanton, District 1 candidates Vin Kruttiventi and Kathy Narum and District 3 candidate Reena Gupta have confirmed. Organizers listed District 3 candidate Jamie Yee as a tentative participant.
The announced lineup does not include every candidate appearing on the November ballot. It reflects only those who had confirmed their participation as of publication.
San Ramon and Dublin voters will elect mayors and council members from Districts 2 and 4. Pleasanton voters in Districts 1 and 3 will choose council representatives, while Danville voters will fill two at-large Town Council seats.
The forums will take place on Wednesday, September 30th at the Shannon Community Center in Dublin, California on 11600 Shannon Avenue.
Pleasanton Candidates: 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Dublin Candidates: 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
San Ramon Candidates: 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Danville Candidates: 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
