WASHINGTON (Diya TV). — Center for a New American Security (CNAS) has launched an initiative to take forward the strategic partnership between the United States and India with a large grant from the Motwani Jadeja Family Foundation.
The initiative is called “Realizing the Potential of the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership” and will focus upon developing cooperation in critical areas, such as technology, defense, and geopolitical strategy. The goal is to further strengthen the partnership between the United States and India in view of growing influence by China in this region for a stable and secure Indo-Pacific.
The project will reach out to key stakeholders across government, academia, and private sectors of both the countries and hopes to add momentum to dialogue and partnership in the areas of AI, Cybersecurity, space, among others. Defense cooperation will also be examined for taking ties ahead – joint military exercise, and technology transfer.
The partnership is important for maintaining balance of power in Asia and for the two nations to take advantage of shared strategic interests,” said Lisa Curtis, a senior fellow at CNAS and former US National Security Council official.
The Motwani Jadeja Family Foundation is a family foundation that has focused on the social impact driven by technology. It has been one of the major sponsors of collaborations between the United States and India over the past few years. The founder of this foundation, Asha Jadeja Motwani, has been an exponent of innovation and entrepreneurship in both countries.
