SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) —   Abhinandan Varthaman, the Indian Air Force pilot captured by Pakistan after an aerial strike is back on Indian soil. Despite hopes on both sides his release would de-escalate tensions, shelling continues along the Line of Control.

Sushma Swaraj, India’s minister of external affairs, attended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation meeting in Abu Dhabi as the guest of honor, the first time India was invited to this gathering of 57 Muslim-majority states. Pakistan skipped the meeting in protest.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is once again accepting premium processing of H-1B applications, a practice suspended last March. Indian workers obtain more than 60 percent of the 85,000 visas allotted each year.

And ICE deported two of the #ElPaso9 hunger strikers from an El Paso Processing Center. The two deported were among the #Sikh men seeking asylum on a hunger strike, some for more than 60 days.
