WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — The Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies will hold its 2026 Technology Summit virtually Sept. 29 and 30, with discussions focused on artificial intelligence, the future of work, digital infrastructure and other technology policy issues.
U.S. Reps. Ro Khanna of California and Ted Lieu of California will serve as co-chairs of the summit, APAICS announced. Lieu is vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus.
The two-day event will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET each day and will bring together elected officials, industry representatives, policy experts and community leaders for bipartisan discussions affecting Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities and the broader United States.
Scheduled topics include how artificial intelligence and other technologies are changing employment, workforce training and the digital economy.
Panels will also examine the growth of AI data centers, including energy demand and sustainability, as well as financial technology, access to credit and homeownership.
Other sessions will focus on broadband and next-generation connectivity, including spectrum policy and 5G and 6G networks, along with intellectual property protections and infringement in e-commerce. The program also includes discussions on the digital fan experience and teen mental health in the digital age.
APAICS is a national nonpartisan nonprofit organization founded in 1994 that works to increase Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander participation and representation in public service and the political process.
The summit is scheduled to take place entirely online Sept. 29 and 30.
