DALLS (Diya TV) – Authorities say eight people were killed in a Texas mall shooting, including the gunman. One of the victims was Aishwarya Thatikonda, an engineer who worked in the U.S. while her family lived in India. A family representative said she was with a friend at the outlet mall when the shooting occurred. Her friend was injured in the shooting and is expected to survive.

Experts say the Coronation Necklace is also known as the Lahore Diamond, which was stolen from Lahore Fort and presented to Queen Victoria by the East India Company. The rest of the diamonds were also believed to be stolen from Lahore.
President Biden announced that Neera Tanden will be his new domestic policy adviser, replacing outgoing adviser Susan Rice. The Indian American has served as assistant to the president and staff secretary.
