SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – The United States documented record human rights violations in China, Pakistan, India and dozens of other countries in its 2022 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices report. Incidents of genocide and crimes against humanity continue to occur against predominantly Muslim Uyghurs and members of other ethnic and religious minorities in China. Meanwhile on Pakistan, the report focused on unlawful or arbitrary killings, including extrajudicial killings by the government or its agents.
In Pennsylvania, Indian American attorney Neil Makhija is running for a seat on the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. It’s the third largest county in the state. He’s a civil rights attorney and lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.
A new IQ Air report found that the top five most polluted countries last year were Chad, Iraq, Pakistan, Bahrain and Bangladesh. The most polluted cities globally were Lahore, Pakistan; Hotan, China; Bhiwadi and Delhi, India; and Peshawar, Pakistan. This type of poor air quality can lead to heart attacks, asthma attacks and premature death.
