DALLAS (Diya TV) — President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance will headline the Republican Party’s midterm convention in Dallas on Sept. 9-10, as the party looks to rally voters ahead of the 2026 elections.
Vance will lead the opening night Wednesday, while Trump will headline Thursday. The two-day Republican National Committee event will focus on GOP candidates, Trump’s agenda and key domestic issues.
Each evening will include a candidate showcase featuring Republicans running in competitive races across the country.
The first night will focus on tax cuts, health care costs, border security, trade and U.S. manufacturing. The second night will highlight policies affecting families, including tax breaks on tips and overtime, Social Security and prescription drug costs.
Republicans will also honor conservative activist Charlie Kirk and mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks with families of first responders.
The convention will feature the “Make America Healthy Again,” or MAHA, movement, with a session on chronic disease and corporate influence over public health agencies.
Republicans are also expected to promote proposals banning stock trading by members of Congress.
The event comes as the GOP prepares for closely watched midterm races that will determine control of Congress. The convention will place Trump and his agenda at the center of the party’s campaign while highlighting Republican candidates and domestic priorities.
