SAN MARCOS, Texas (Diya TV) — Millie Saroha, an Indian American collegiate athlete for Texas State University, was recently named to the list of Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars.

Saroha is one in a field of 828 collegiate golfers nationwide who were named to the All-American scholar team, and the only one from Texas State to be selected.

Her selection this year marks for the third consecutive year she has been picked, as well as the sixth-straight year a golfer from Texas State University has been selected. An international relations major, Saroha finished the 2016-16 campaign with a 75.79 scoring percentage in 29 rounds on the course. She was just one of three golfers from her school to compete in all 10 tournaments.

Saroha showcased her best performance during the first round of The Alamo Invitational, where she shot a 69. That score was just one stroke above her career-best performance when she shot a 68 during her sophomore season. Her best finish came in the 2014 season when her campaign ended in 24th position.

The WGCA criteria for making the list is to achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. Golfers from divisions one through three are selected to the team.
