VANCOUVER (Diya TV) — In a sequence captured on surveillance video, the targeted killing of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar unfolds in a brazen ambush outside a temple in Surrey, B.C. The footage released to the media offers a harrowing account of the meticulously planned attack that took Nijjar’s life last June.

The video depicts Nijjar leaving the Guru Nanak Sikh gurdwara in his pickup truck, only to be blocked by a white sedan as he attempts to exit the parking lot. Two assailants then emerge from the shadows, opening fire on Nijjar’s vehicle before fleeing the scene. Witnesses recount the chaos that ensued, with community members scrambling to aid Nijjar as the gunmen made their escape.

The ambush lasted less than two minutes and was carried out with calculated precision. As investigators continue to piece together the events leading up to Nijjar’s death, questions linger about the motives behind the assassination and the identities of those responsible.

Amid mounting speculation, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau publicly accused the Indian government of orchestrating Nijjar’s killing, sparking a diplomatic crisis between Canada and India. The allegations are supported by evidence uncovered in a U.S. indictment. But India has rejected the claims, saying they are “absurd and motivated”.

Canadian authorities are maintaining watch over potential suspects. Yet, the full extent of the conspiracy remains unclear.
