SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) — Angry protesters who stormed the official residences of Sri Lanka’s President and Prime Minister succeeded in forcing them to resign on the weekend as the country plunges further into chaos. However, the protesters say they won’t leave the luxury houses until both leaders have vacated their roles. The resignations mark a major win for protesters, but the future of the country’s 22 million people is uncertain as they struggle to buy basic goods, fuel, and medicine.

Covid cases are ticking up again in the U.S. But some health experts say they’re being undercounted because results of widely available at-home tests aren’t being reported. Indian American White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Ashish Jha says there are probably several hundred thousand infections happening daily across the country. Many states have also stopped providing daily updates.

Indian authorities busted a gang for faking an Indian Premier League cricket tournament and then taking bets from Russian gamblers. Investigators say farm laborers acted as players with real jerseys and the matches were even live streamed on YouTube.
