SEATTLE (Diya TV) — A Seattle man is under arrest, accused of threatening to kill U.S. Representative. Pramila Jayapal in her home over the weekend. A neighbor told police she heard the man yell something to the effect of, “Go back to India, I’m going to kill you.” In 2016, Jayapal who’s a Democrat, became the first Indian American woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives.
India is projected to surpass China as the world’s most populous country next year. That’s according to the United Nations’ World Population Prospects. The findings come amid the backdrop of a decrease in fertility rates across the globe. Right now there are more than 1.4 billion people in each country. The population change will likely have policy implications for both countries.
