HOUSON (Diya TV) – The man convicted of murdering the first turbaned Indian-American Sikh police officer has been sentenced to death. Authorities say Robert Solis shot officer Sandeep Dhaliwal during a traffic stop back in 2019. Dhaliwal was a 10 year veteran of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Billionaire Elon Musk finally took over Twitter and immediately fired several top executives, sending shockwaves throughout the social media platform. Two Indian Americans got pink slips including CEO Parag Agrawal and head of legal policy, trust, and safety Vijaya Gadde. Musk accused them of misleading him and investors over the number of fake accounts on the platform.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Britain’s new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. Along with congratulations and well wishes, PM Modi and his British counterpart discussed the need to close a balanced free-trade deal between India and the UK. Sunak is the first British Indian to be the country’s PM.
