CLEVELAND (Diya TV) — Game 3 of the NBA Finals led ABC to another ratings victory on Wednesday night, the matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers drew an average rating of 5.2 in the demographic of adults between the ages of 18-49 and 13.7 million viewers before adjustments.

In metered markets, the game drew an overnight rating of 11.8, making it the third-highest rated Game 3 ever broadcast on ABC. For the night, ABC scored an average 4.2 rating in the demo and 11.5 million viewers overall, more than doubling its nearest competitor, NBC.

On average through three games the 17.7 million viewers make these NBA Finals the second-most watched ever on ABC since the network started broadcasting the series in 2003. The rematch between the Warriors and Cavaliers trails only their previous meeting last season, which was the most-watched Finals series in the history of the network.

Additionally, viewership of the 2016 Finals on the family of network’s WatchESPN app are up double-digits from the 2015 Finals through three games. The series has generated approximately 143,000,000 total minutes, an average of 952,000 unique viewers and an average minute audience of 293,000, up 42 percent, 35 percent and 61 percent from last year.
