WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — It’s official, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to travel to the US from September 23-25, with plans to participate in the first in-person summit of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue or Quad and to address the United Nations General Assembly. Modi will be making only his second visit abroad since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.  It will be the first in-person meeting between Modi and President Joe Biden. The areas of focus will be the Afghan transition and the Covid vaccine rollout.

President Joe Biden is thanking Hindu humanitarian nonprofit Sewa International for playing a huge role in helping people in India and the U-S during the pandemic. The organization raised millions of dollars for medical supplies and mobilized volunteers. The group also thanked President Biden for his ongoing support.

And a local church in Minnesota is trying to ban the BAPS Hindu temple from moving into the Brooklyn Center neighborhood, claiming it promotes false idolatry.  Some local Hindus are taking to social media to say that’s Hinduphobic and are trying to fight back.
