PARIS (Diya TV) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with U.S. Vice President JD Vance in Paris, where the two leaders addressed energy cooperation and shared a special moment celebrating Vance’s son’s birthday, Vivek.
The two leaders, during the meeting, wished Vivek a happy birthday and exchanged gifts with the Vance children. “Had a wonderful meeting with U.S. Vice President JD Vance and family. We had a great chat on a host of issues. Delighted to join them to celebrate the festive birthday of their son, Vivek!” Modi wrote on X.
The meeting involved the Vance family, including the first-ever Indian American Second Lady Usha Vance, who shared coffee with Modi. Vice President Vance appreciated Modi’s gesture, saying, “Prime Minister Modi was kind and generous, and the kids liked the gifts. I’m thankful to him for the great chat.”
Aside from the personal touches, Modi and Vance touched on the major areas of cooperation, including U.S. assistance in India’s pursuit of energy diversification through investment in clean and reliable American nuclear technology.
The meeting occurred amid the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit in Paris, which was co-chaired by Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit united global leaders, technology leaders, and policymakers to address the impact of AI on global security and economics.
