SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – As the sudden collapse of cryptocurrency platform FTX continues to be scrutinized, we’re learning more about the key players including another Indian American Ramnik Arora. Arora was poached from Meta and became head of product at FTX and part of former CEO Sam Bankman Fried’s inner circle. Arora also played a key role in introducing FTX to investment firm Sequoia Capital, who wrote off the more than $200 million it put into the company. Head of Engineering Nishad Singh was also another Indian American playing a key role at FTX. None of them have been accused of any wrongdoing, but the investigation is ongoing.

Five Indian Americans are recipients of this year’s Rhodes Scholarships. They include Shreyas Hallur from Arizona, Atharv Gupta from Virginia, Veer Sangha from South Carolina, along with Amisha Kambath and Jupneet Singh, from California. They’ll be studying next year at Oxford University.

The New Delhi high court has ruled in favor of TV News managing editor Palki Sharma after Zee TV tried to prevent her from working for another channel. She’s now at TV 18 Broadcast Limited in the same role.
