MUMBAI (Diya TV) — The Indian military is continuing search and rescue operations for another day after a deadly cyclone left scores missing and stranded at sea. it’s  the strongest storm on record to hit India’s west coast, has killed at least 40 people since it made landfall in western Gujarat state on Monday night.

The House passed an Anti Asian hate crimes bill which the Senate already passed last month.  It directs the Department of Justice to expedite the review of Covid-related hate crimes that were reported to law enforcement agencies and help them establish ways to report such incidents online and perform public outreach. The bill now heads to he President for signing.

And lighting is suspected of recently killing 18 Asiatic elephants in northern India.  The elephants, including five calves, were found dead during rains in the protected Kondali forest reserve..
