WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — Indian American scientist Gaurav Sharma won a $20 million contract from US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency known as DARPA to create a system to allow soldiers to put on a helmet and use mind control to guide drones or bomb disposal robots.

The Indian Space Research Agency known as ISRO launched a radar imaging satellite that can take high resolution images of the earth during day and night. In addition to surveillance, the satellite can provide information to aid agriculture, forestry and disaster management outcomes.

The National Institution for Transforming India, also called NITI Aayog, created an institutional framework plan for artificial intelligence (AI) in India, requesting more than $1 million US dollars in funding to create a cloud computing platform and research institutes.

And a diplomatic standoff between Pakistan-Bangladesh is escalating after Bangladesh stopped giving visas to Pakistani nationals after their diplomat was denied a visa extension by Pakistan.
