SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the company will lay off 12,000 employees. This comes after Amazon and Microsoft laid off a combined 28,000 people recently. Tech companies are facing a variety of challenges including high interest rates and inflation over the past year that have clobbered technology shares and forced advertisers to cut back on online ad spending.
The Indian government strongly condemned a BBC series on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the 2002 Gujarat riots as a “propaganda piece designed to push a discredited narrative” that shouldn’t be “dignified” with a response. The foreign ministry called it bias and says it continues a colonial mindset.
Many are remembering the Kashmiri Pandit exodus that happened more than 30 years ago. This current generation wants to make sure they have a voice in the region. Hundreds of thousands Hindu Pandits left the Kashmir Valley after their prominent leaders were killed by Islamic terrorists.
