WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — The FBI has placed an Indian national identified as Kamal on its Most Wanted list over his alleged involvement with a transnational criminal organization linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group.
The FBI said Kamal faces a federal charge of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by extortion. The agency has not publicly provided his full name.
According to the FBI, the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group originated in Punjab, India, and later operated in California and other areas.
A federal court in Los Angeles issued an arrest warrant for Kamal on July 1, 2026, after prosecutors charged him in the alleged extortion conspiracy.
The FBI has provided limited details about Kamal’s specific alleged role in the organization.
The group is named after Lawrence Bishnoi, an Indian criminal figure who has faced multiple criminal cases in India.
The FBI is asking anyone with information about Kamal’s whereabouts to contact law enforcement and not approach him directly.
The charge remains an allegation, and Kamal is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The federal arrest warrant remains active as authorities continue efforts to locate him.
