TAMPA (Diya TV) — A disturbing incident unfolded aboard American Airlines Flight 2506, originating from Tampa and bound for Philadelphia, as a drunken passenger, identified as 29-year-old Shail Patel, caused chaos, resulting in his arrest for multiple misdemeanors.
Court documents reveal Patel’s erratic behavior, which included shouting profanities and making threats to “take this plane down with all you motherf–kers on it,” targeting fellow passengers with antisemitic slurs, and exhibiting aggressive conduct.
According to witness statements detailed in the affidavit, Patel’s behavior escalated quickly upon boarding, with him yelling and cursing at passengers. He became physically violent, assaulting another passenger by striking them and spitting on them.
Videos circulating online captured moments of the altercation, showing Patel being restrained by fellow passengers after a shoving match. He was put in a headlock and escorted off the plane, delaying the flight by 30 minutes while law enforcement responded to the scene.
Patel’s actions resulted in his arrest on charges of battery and disorderly intoxication. He remained in custody at the Hillsboro County jail on a $2,150 bond as of the latest records available.
