MUMBAI, India (Diya TV) — Colgate-Palmolive India is preparing for a leadership change as Managing Director and CEO Prabha Narasimhan moves to a new global role within the company.
Colgate-Palmolive India said Narasimhan will take up the role of executive vice president, marketing, for Colgate-Palmolive’s Asia Pacific division. The move will give her a broader regional role as she continues her career with the global consumer products company.
Meanwhile, the company has selected Manish Anandani as its next managing director and CEO. Anandani will take charge after Narasimhan and will serve for five years, subject to shareholder approval.
Anandani brings extensive experience in the consumer goods sector. He also has a long history with Colgate-Palmolive. He first joined the company in 2005 as a regional manager.
Over the following years, he held several positions across India and the Indochina region. He later moved into a global role. Anandani left Colgate-Palmolive in 2018 as worldwide director in the Global Customer Development function.
He then moved to Kenvue, the former Johnson & Johnson consumer health business. There, he served as managing director for India and South Asia.
His return to Colgate-Palmolive India comes as the company prepares for its next phase of growth. His experience across sales, customer development and regional operations could help him manage the company’s broad consumer business.
Narasimhan became managing director and CEO of Colgate-Palmolive India on Sept. 1, 2022. During her tenure, the company navigated changing consumer demand and a competitive market for oral and personal care products.
Colgate-Palmolive India shares have gained about 14% over the past four years. However, the stock has also faced a sharp decline from its record high.
The shares reached a peak of ₹3,893 in October 2024. Since then, the stock has fallen significantly. The decline has weighed on investor returns despite the gains recorded over the broader four-year period.
On Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, shares traded about 0.75% lower in early trading at ₹1,895.70. The stock has also fallen about 10% so far this year.
The share performance highlights the challenges facing the company and the wider consumer goods sector. At the same time, the leadership change could draw attention from investors as Anandani prepares to take charge.
Anandani holds a degree in electronics and an MBD in marketing. He also earned an Executive MBA in Leadership from the Turk School of Business in the United States.
His career has focused heavily on consumer products and business development. In addition, his previous experience at Colgate-Palmolive gives him familiarity with the company’s operations and culture.
Colgate-Palmolive India now awaits shareholder approval for the five-year appointment.
