DALLAS (Diya TV) – The Boston Celtics are just one win away from raising their 18th championship banner. After a 106-99 win over the Dallas Mavericks, Boston has taken full control of the series with a 3-0 lead and eyes a clean sweep.

The dynamic duo of forward Jayson Tatum and guard Jaylen Brown each scored more than 30 points, helping the Celtics pull away late after a ferocious comeback by the Mavericks. After going down by 21, Dallas promptly went on a run in which they outscored Boston by 18. However, it was all for naught as the Celtics notched their 10th consecutive playoff victory (extending a franchise record).

Boston was left without center Kristaps Porzingis as he deals with a “serious” knee injury. The offseason addition is not expected to return for the remainder of the playoffs. It may not matter for the Celtics since they are a stellar 31-5 without him on the court and are, after all, just one win away from gold.

A big turning point in the game was Mavs guard Luka Doncic notching his sixth foul and being disqualified. It’s the first time the star has fouled out in the playoffs and it was a momentum killer for Dallas.

All eyes are now on Game 4 of the NBA Finals to see if the Celtics close out a dominant playoff run or if the Mavericks live to see another day.
