SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – Canadian authorities say they have now rejected 595 students from India due to misrepresentation, including over submitting false documents. All told, since 2018, Canada has rejected more than 7,500 Indian study permit applications. Hundreds of Indian students have been in limbo in recent months because of a falsified document scheme out of Punjab. India is the top source of new international students in Canada.
Kerala native Ken Mathew is the first Indian-American and person of color to be sworn in as Mayor of Stafford, Texas. A former Stafford City Council member, Mathew won by 16 votes in a run-off race.
