WASHINGTON, DC (Diya TV) – US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Indian Ambassador to the U.S. Taranjit Singh Sandhu kicked off the US-India Business Council’s India Ideas Summit in Washington, D.C. The two-day summit set ahead of Indian Prime Minister Modi’s State visit to Washington also featured Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to charges of illegally retaining and sharing classified documents at a federal courthouse in Miami. Trump denounced prosecutors for bringing the case against him, calling it an abuse of power. The 37-count indictment relates to Trump’s handling of documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Trump’s current aide, Walt Nauta, was also charged. Both Trump and Nauta were granted bail and conditions, including no communication about the case.
The Denver Nuggets are NBA Champions for the first time in franchise history, defeating the Miami Heat 4 games to 1, winning Game 5 94-89 on their home floor. Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was 1st player in NBA history to lead the playoffs in total points, rebounds, and assists and was named Finals MVP.
