WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — President Biden has put forth the nomination of Deven J. Parekh, a global venture capitalist, for a second term on the Board of Directors of the US International Development Finance Corporation (IDFC). This comes as a continuation of Parekh’s service, having been initially appointed to the IDFC board for three years by former President Donald Trump in June 2020.

Parekh, currently a Managing Director at Insight Partners, a growth equity investment fund headquartered in New York City. Parekh has made over 140 investments globally, spanning enterprise software, data, and consumer internet businesses across various continents.

Apart from his responsibilities at Insight and with the Development Finance Corporation, Parekh holds significant board positions, including the Council on Foreign Relations, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, NYU Langone, the Tisch New York MS Research Center, and the Economic Club of New York. His contributions extend to non-profit leadership, serving as Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Publicolor, an organization dedicated to enhancing New York City public schools.

Parekh received the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award in 2021 and holds the title of Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

Prior to his role at Insight, Parekh served as a Principal at Berenson Minella & Company, a New York-based merchant banking firm. His expertise in mergers and acquisitions was further honed during his tenure with Blackstone.

With a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Parekh brings a robust educational background to complement his extensive professional achievements.
