ROCHESTER, Minn. (Diya TV) — Adani Group of India has collaborated with U.S.-based healthcare giant Mayo Clinic to set up two low-cost health campuses in Mumbai and Ahmedabad for an investment of more than $686 million.

The partnership is to provide top-class medical care to underprivileged populations, countering India’s poor public health expenditure. The campuses will have hospitals, medical schools, transitional care facilities, and research centers.

Mayo Clinic Global Consulting will give technical support but not own, operate, or manage the hospitals. The advisory function guarantees the sharing of knowledge without a joint venture.

The hospitals will be part of Adani Health City and will feature a 1,000-bed hospital, a medical college, and research facilities. This initiative aligns with Adani’s $690 million commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure across India.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani stated that the partnership with Mayo Clinic, the world’s largest integrated not-for-profit medical group practice, would help advance healthcare standards in India, particularly in complex disease care and medical innovation.
