SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) — The Golden State Warriors celebrated the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities in Northern California with their annual Asian Heritage Night celebration at Chase Center on March 13, 2025. The event had cultural performances, community recognition, and a historical on-court feat.

The hugely popular juggler Pei Pei stunned the audience with an on-court performance featuring basketballs and a hoop, combining athleticism and artistry. During halftime, the Tang Dynasty Figurines dance company commanded the center court, executing a precise routine based on traditional Chinese heritage. Fans were in awe as dozens of dancers executed elegant choreography, saluting the region’s rich cultural heritage.

The Warriors also honored executive director of All Good Living Foundation Chris Tam as Impact Warrior for the evening. Tam established “Do Good Community Closets,” a charity that gives away essential items like food, clothing, school supplies, and household needs to underprivileged families in their community. His dedication to addressing the underserved populations in all parts of the Bay Area was lauded by the Warriors.

The evening hit a record high when Warriors legend Stephen Curry became the first player in NBA history to record 4,000 career three-pointers during the regular season. Curry recorded the milestone with a 28-foot shot in the third quarter, further establishing his legacy as one of the greatest shooters in the game.

“It’s above my wildest dreams,” Curry said following the game. “To do it on a night where we’re celebrating such an important community makes it that much more special.” Golden State maintained its recent push by beating the Sacramento Kings 130-104. The win was the Warriors’ fifth straight victory as they strive to climb the Western Conference ladder with the playoffs mere weeks away.

Fans appreciated the team’s commitment to inclusivity, citing that heritage nights create a stronger bond between the franchise and the community.
