DETROIT (Diya TV) – Two Indian nationals were arrested by US border patrol for illegally crossing into the country from Canada by boat. In total 5 people were arrested near Detroit, Michigan. Border Patrol dispatchers saw them through video surveillance on the St. Clair River near a known smuggling route and immediately contacted agents in the area.
Indian American Sonya Christian has been named the 11th chancellor of the California Community Colleges. The Kerala-born-and-raised school leader will be the first woman and first person of South Asian descent to lead the nation’s largest system of higher education serving nearly 2 million students.
