WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — President Donald Trump announced that Iran fired 14 missiles at U.S. forces after America destroyed Iranian nuclear facilities. However, U.S. forces intercepted 13 of those missiles. Meanwhile, the other one headed in a safe direction. Trump quickly praised the U.S. military for its swift and strong defense. Furthermore, he confirmed that no Americans suffered injuries in the attack.
In addition, Trump wrote on his social media account that Iran’s response was “very weak.” Moreover, he added that U.S. forces handled it extremely well. Consequently, Trump hoped this brief exchange would help ease tensions. Going forward, he also hoped both sides could move toward “peace and harmony in the region.”
Trump emphasized that no American troops or assets suffered serious harm. In fact, he wrote, “I am pleased to report that NO Americans were harmed.” Importantly, advance warnings from Iran also played a key role. Specifically, they gave U.S. forces time to prepare, which ultimately helped protect lives and equipment.
Trump also thanked Iran for providing early notice. As a result, U.S. and allied troops took cover and activated their defenses before the missiles hit. Therefore, this quick action prevented deaths and major destruction.
Earlier this week, U.S. forces conducted strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities. Furthermore, Trump had explained that these strikes aimed to stop Iran from building nuclear weapons. Indeed, American forces destroyed key sites and equipment during a short operation.
Trump often warns Iran that any attack will be met with force. Thus, these recent strikes followed his past promises to respond to threats. In light of this successful defense, the president told Iran that further hostility would not help.
Trump called for peace between Iran and other nations as well. Importantly, he wrote, “Hopefully there will be no further hate.” Moreover, the president urged Iran to pursue peaceful solutions going forward.
Additionally, Trump said he would encourage Israel to do the same. Specifically, he wrote, “I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same.” Hence, the president’s remarks hinted at a path toward talks rather than more violence.
Meanwhile, world leaders have urged calm between the U.S. and Iran for weeks. Also, many countries called for diplomacy to avoid a wider war. Indeed, Iran’s limited response suggested that it wished to prevent serious escalation.
As a result, Trump acknowledged this cautious signal and offered a hopeful tone. Furthermore, analysts noted that Iran probably chose to scale back its attack to avoid serious losses. Therefore, Trump suggested that this outcome might help ease tension.
For now, U.S. troops remain on high alert across the region. Nevertheless, the president and his team expressed relief that the incident ended without American casualties. Going forward, Trump indicated that he is open to working with Iran toward a more stable future.
If Iran agrees to reduce tension, then the two countries may explore diplomatic options. Hence, the president’s message left the door open for talks. Finally, time will tell whether both sides take that path.
