MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (Diya TV) — Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai announced what his company believes is a transformative step in their AI journey, the integration of its renowned Bard AI chatbot into Gemini.

With this update, Bard will now be known as Gemini, aligning with the AI model that powers the chatbot. This rebranding comes alongside the launch of a new Gemini app and the introduction of Gemini Ultra, a powerful language model tailored to meet advanced user needs.

Gemini is now accessible in over 40 languages on the web and is set to make its debut on a dedicated Gemini app for Android, as well as on the Google app for iOS.

Pichai shed light on the enhanced capabilities of Gemini, particularly emphasizing Gemini Advanced. This premium offering provides users with superior reasoning abilities, enhanced coding support, and improved collaboration features. To access Gemini Advanced, users can subscribe to the new Google One AI Premium plan.

The introduction of Gemini Ultra marks a significant milestone in AI technology. The largest model, Ultra 1.0, has surpassed human experts on Massive Multitask Language Understanding (MMLU) tests. This advanced model draws upon knowledge from 57 subjects, including math, physics, history, law, medicine, and ethics, to deliver unparalleled problem-solving abilities.

Furthermore, Google is integrating Gemini models into everyday products, including Google Workspace and Google Cloud. This integration aims to enhance user experiences across various platforms and applications.

In recent years, Google has been ramping up its efforts in the field of artificial intelligence, competing with industry rivals like Microsoft and Amazon. The rebranding of Bard to Gemini signifies Google’s commitment to advancing its AI capabilities and providing users with cutting-edge technology solutions.

With the introduction of Gemini, Google believes they are poised to set new benchmarks in the AI landscape, offering users access to state-of-the-art AI models and tools for enhanced productivity and problem-solving.
