DELHI (Diya TV) — Renowned spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev underwent emergency brain surgery at a private hospital in Delhi, as confirmed by the hospital on March 17. The surgery aimed to address bleeding within the skull, and since then, Sadhguru has shown steady progress in his recovery.

Sadhguru, the founder of the Isha Foundation and a prominent figure in the spiritual community, had been experiencing severe headaches for the past four weeks. Despite the discomfort, he continued with his regular activities, including conducting the Maha Shivaratri function on March 8.

However, as the headache worsened by March 15, he sought medical advice. A brain MRI revealed massive bleeding in the skull, prompting doctors to recommend immediate surgery. The operation was performed on March 17, and Sadhguru was successfully removed from the ventilator post-surgery.

In a video shared on his social media accounts, Sadhguru lightheartedly remarked about the surgery, stating that the surgeons found nothing in his skull and had to patch it up. He expressed gratitude for the concern shown by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had personally wished him a speedy recovery.

Prime Minister Modi’s message was met with appreciation from Sadhguru, who assured him of his ongoing recovery. Meanwhile, numerous celebrities and well-wishers took to social media to extend their support and wishes for Sadhguru’s speedy recovery.

Dr. Vinit Suri, the senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospitals, provided insights into Sadhguru’s health condition, mentioning that despite experiencing severe pain, Sadhguru fulfilled his commitments, including conducting the Mahashivratri function. The MRI revealed evidence of chronic bleeding over several weeks, necessitating urgent medical intervention.
