MUMBAI (Diya TV) — Reliance Foundation and The Estée Lauder Companies Charitable Foundation announced a partnership Wednesday aimed at reaching one million girls and young women across India with life skills, digital and financial education.

The two-year program will begin in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh before expanding to other states. It targets participants aged fourteen to twenty in rural and urban communities.

The nonprofit Girl Effect will help develop the curriculum and learning resources. Local implementation partners will deliver training through in-person sessions and digital platforms.

Lessons will cover decision-making, leadership and the safe use of digital tools and financial services. Participants will also receive information about further education, vocational training, employment and entrepreneurship.

Reliance Foundation Director Isha Ambani said the partnership would help girls pursue their aspirations. Stéphane de La Faverie, president and chief executive of The Estée Lauder Companies and president of its charitable foundation, said the initiative would build skills relevant to the workforce.

The announcement did not disclose the partnership’s budget, enrollment procedures or a detailed rollout schedule. The one-million figure represents its intended reach, rather than the number of participants already enrolled.
