LOS ANGELES (Diya TV) — Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, along with their two-year-old daughter, Malti, have made the decision to move out of their California mansion due to mold issues. The couple’s luxurious residence, purchased in September 2019 for $20 million, faced challenges related to water damage, resulting in mold contamination, as reported by Page Six.
The expansive 7-bedroom estate, boasting amenities such as an indoor basketball court and private movie theater, encountered problems with its pool and spa, attributed to issues with waterproofing. These issues rendered the property “virtually unlivable” and raised health concerns, prompting the couple to pursue legal action seeking to cancel the purchase and sale agreement, along with compensation for damages.
According to court filings, the cost of addressing the waterproofing problems is estimated to exceed $1.5 million, with additional general damages amounting to approximately $2.5 million.
While repairs are underway at their former residence, Nick and Priyanka, along with their daughter, have relocated to a new undisclosed location. The timeline for their return to the mansion remains uncertain.
The couple’s decision is mainly about providing a safe environment for their daughter, Malti. Their journey into parenthood has been marked by both joy and challenges, with Malti spending over 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit after her premature birth.
