COLUMBUS (Diya TV) — Author of ‘Hillbilly Elegy,’ J.D. Vance prevailed over a crowded field of candidates in Ohio’s GOP Senate Primary after a last minute endorsement from former President Donald Trump. Vance’s wife Usha is Indian American and is now also expected to be in the spotlight alongside her husband. They have three children together and met while studying at Yale Law School.
Google has fired Indian American Satrajit Chatterjee, an AI researcher who criticized and challenged the company’s findings showing how AI systems could design certain computer chips better than humans. This is now the second AI researcher Google has fired.
Former Cabinet Secretary Norman Mineta has died. He broke racial barriers for Asian Americans serving in high-profile government posts and ordered commercial flights grounded after the 9/11 terror attacks as the nation’s federal transportation secretary. Mineta was was 90 years old.
