NEW DELHI (Diya TV) — IT industry giant Nasscom announced this week it has selected 39 Indian startups to showcase at the third edition of its “Innotrek” program, where technology entrepreneurs have the opportunity to meet and interact with potential investors and receive business mentorship from industry experts.
The event takes place from May 2 through May 7. The event seeks to showcase to entrepreneurs what Silicon Valley has to offer, in the hopes that they will consider moving their companies stateside.
The selectees will also have the opportunity to learn about globally scaling their business and how to properly form alliances to give themselves a competitive advantage. Companies on hand at the event will include names such as Adnabu, Pushngage, Discover Dollar Technologies, Squadrun and Uncanny Vision Solutions.
“The startups that have been chosen work across the spectrum — Internet of Things, gaming, healthcare, fin-tech, sports-tech. These companies have products that can be scaled globally and being in the Silicon Valley is a great opportunity to connect with the right people,” said Nasscom senior director of startups Rajat Tandon.
Additionally, those in attendance will visit incubation centers and get an opportunity to hear from speakers such as Tesla chief information officer Jay Vijayan and Microsoft Ventures general manager Scott Coleman.
“In the first year, we chose 25 startups. Last year, there were 34 and this year, we have 39. These are early stage and growth stage startups,” Tandon said.
