WASHINGTON DC (Diya TV) — The International Monetary Fund is slashing the growth forecast for India saying it will grow by more than 8 percent this year, cautioning that the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war will in the long run hurt the economy. But IMF says that growth number is still higher than the rest of the world.

The U.S. will no longer enforce the mask mandate on public transportation like airplanes and trains after a Florida judge ruled the directive was unlawful. But the Biden administration said it would appeal the ruling if federal health officials determine the mandate is still needed.

Experts are warning China’s recent string of COVID-19 lockdowns is about to send another shock through global supply chains. At least 373 million people—in cities that represent roughly 40% of China’s gross domestic product—have been affected by the most recent wave of lockdowns across the country, leaving some residents desperate for food.
