SAN FRANCISCO (Diya TV) – Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan says he’s ready to make up with the United States after repeatedly accusing Washington of conspiring to remove him from power in April. He says as far as he’s concerned the dispute is over and adds the country must work with everyone around the world. Aside from social unrest, Pakistan has been dealing with historic natural disasters devastating the region.

Republicans have won control of the House handing President Joe Biden a divided Congress after Democrats kept control of the Senate in last week’s midterm elections. The GOP had hopes of sweeping into power with dozens of wins, but instead they will have only a thin majority, complicating their ability to function in the House chamber.

Pakistani American Amna Nawaz has been named co-anchor of the PBS NewsHour. Along with Geoff Benett they will take over the anchor chair left vacant by Judy Woodruff who recently retired.
