WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — Former Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar is joining US-based public relations agency Penta Group as a member of its Global Advisory Board. Penta, which is known for counseling corporate behemoths such as Microsoft, Google, and JPMorgan, said that Varadkar’s vast leadership background will further enrich the firm’s strategic acumen.
Varadkar, who is of Indian descent, was Ireland’s Taoiseach from 2017 to 2020 and then from 2022 to 2024. Penta’s CEO, Matt McDonald, welcomed the appointment with excitement, saying, “We are delighted to have Leo Varadkar join our team. His strong commitment to evidence-led policymaking and strategic leadership is a perfect fit for Penta’s mission.
Apart from working at Penta, Varadkar has taken on a part-time teaching and mentoring role at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The Ireland ethics regulator Standards in Public Office Commission (SIPO) has signed off on Varadkar’s inclusion in Penta’s advisory board.
