NEW DELHI (Diya TV) — One of the key figures in Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first term, Sushma Swaraj, has died. Swaraj was India’s foreign minister from 2014 to 2019 and recently resigned because of ongoing health problems. A veteran politician and senior leader of the BJP, Swaraj was known for responding quickly to issues faced by Indian nationals on Twitter. She was 67 years old.
After India announced a change in their constitution to govern Jammu & Kashmir more closely, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in response said “incidents like Pulwama are bound to happen again.”
The Pulwama attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed earlier this year killed 40 people, including the suicide bomber, and injured 35.
