WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — Reaction from all over the globe was swift in the aftermath of President Trump’s meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, with much of feedback focused on Mr. Trump’s remarks regarding Kashmir.

After India quickly denied Trump’s claim Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked him to intervene on the Kashmir conflict, political analysts, including the former U.S. Ambassador to India, Rich Verma, believe the President damaged his relationship with India, given the nuances the Kashmir conflict encompasses.

Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman said he apologized to Indian Ambassador to the U.S. Harsh Shringla for Trump’s “amateurish and embarrassing mistake.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Modi’s rivals in India are jumping at the opportunity to challenge the Prime Minister on Kashmir, including former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He questioned if Modi had the conversation with Trump and for the context of the conversation to be disclosed.
