WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — The Department of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk, is under scrutiny for recruiting six young engineers, including 22-year-old Akash Bobba. Bobba, a University of California, Berkeley graduate boasts an impressive technical background, having interned at Meta, worked at Palantir, and contributed to Bridgewater Associates.

He attracted attention with his problem-solving skills when he rewrote the codebase of an entire project overnight after it had been accidentally deleted, thereby ensuring his team secured first place in their class.

Despite his credentials, the team’s lack of experience in the government is a concern from Democratic critics. It has been reported that at least four members of the team, including Bobba, had received high-level security clearances, allowing them full access to sensitive data. Critics view this process as a huge risk, considering the limited exposure the set has to federal operations.

DOGE’s purpose is to simplify federal operations, remove bureaucratic waste, and reduce government spending. However, internal conflicts have emerged due to the department’s design and leadership selection. Former Republican Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy was part of DOGE, but stepped away before the Trump administration officially began to focus on an upcoming run for elected office.
