HYDERABAD, India (Diya TV) — DoorDash opened an operations hub in Hyderabad on Wednesday with 500 employees and plans to expand the workforce to more than 3,000 over the next two years.
The Hitec City office will initially house Customer Experience and Integrity teams, along with general and administrative staff. Employees will support consumers, merchants and delivery workers across DoorDash’s international markets.
Hyderabad becomes the company’s third internal customer experience and integrity service center, joining facilities in Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City. DoorDash said it may add specialized fraud-review, integrity and technical-support capabilities as the office grows.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu inaugurated the facility alongside DoorDash Chief Financial Officer Ravi Inukonda, senior director Jenna Kohnke and state IT adviser Sai Krishna.
Kohnke, who oversees workforce strategy and talent acquisition operations, said Hyderabad’s talent pool and technology ecosystem influenced the company’s decision to invest in the city.
The opening expands DoorDash’s existing presence in India. Although several reports described Hyderabad as its first Indian office, Reuters reported that DoorDash already operates software, data and analytics teams in Pune through its acquisition of robotics startup Chowbotics.
Sridhar Babu welcomed the planned hiring and said the office would support global business operations. Telangana’s government says Hyderabad hosts more than 500 global capability centers—offices that multinational companies use to run technology, administrative and other business functions—with more than 500,000 employees.
