WASHINGTON (Diya TV) — In the aftermath of the deadly Capitol Riot that claimed the lives of five people, including a Capitol police officer, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said House Democrats will move to impeach President Trump if he does not “imminently and willingly” resign from office. Pelosi spoke with Democratic colleagues to assess their options for removing the president from office during the final days of his presidency. Senate Judiciary Chair Lindsey Graham said an effort to impeach Trump would be unsuccessful in the Senate.

Twitter permanently suspended President Trump’s account after years of outcry from critics, including Vice President Elect Kamala Harris, who said he was flagrantly breaking their terms of service. In a statement, Twitter said Trump was “not above our rules and cannot use Twitter to incite violence.” Facebook and other social media platforms have also suspended the President’s accounts.
