LOS ANGELES (Diya TV) — Presley Gerber, the model and son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, died Sunday at age 27, according to his family and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
Gerber died at a rehabilitation facility, medical examiner records show. Officials have not determined a cause of death. The medical examiner performed an autopsy but said additional testing is required.
Allie Jenkins, a representative for Crawford and Rande Gerber, confirmed his death and said the family is asking for privacy.
Gerber, the older brother of model and actor Kaia Gerber, began modeling as a teenager. He signed with IMG and made his runway debut for Moschino at 16. He later worked with brands including Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana. In 2018, he appeared with Crawford in a Pepsi Super Bowl commercial that referenced her well-known 1992 ad.
In recent years, Gerber spoke publicly about his experiences with mental health and substance use. He launched a social media series called “Mental Health Mondays,” where he discussed treatment, addiction and emotional well-being.
Kaia Gerber also discussed her brother’s experience with addiction in an August Vogue interview, describing the effect it had on their family and praising his decision to speak publicly about it.
Gerber later signed with DNA Models and also pursued photography, surfing and skating.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances of his death.
